Travis Peak Formation

Bossier Formation

Cotton Valley Formation: Located in east Texas and north Louisiana. Peak gas production was 2.5 Bcf/d in 2008-2009 and 1.5 Bcf/d in 2020.

Rockies

Uinta: Located in Utah had gas production of 0.5 Bcf/d in 2020. No new drilling.

Piceance: Found in Utah and Colorado had production of 1.1 Bcf/d in 2020. Drilling continues in Cretaceous Williams Fork Formation of the Mesaverde Group.

Powder River: located in Wyoming. No new drilling

Paradox: Located in southeastern Utah and southwestern Colorado. Exploration of Mancos, Gothic and Hovenweep Shale plays.

DJ Niobrara: Found in Colorado, is mostly tight oil production with liquids rich gas production, which is expected to grow.
