Marcellus (SW) liquid rich gas production comes Southwest Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Production has grown from 1 Bcf/d in 2010 to about 13.0 Bcf/d in 2020. It is expected to reach its peak of 15 Bcf/d around 2027-28 after which it will gradually decline. Average first year decline in 2020 was 70%.

The average new well initial productivity in 2020 was 11.3 MMcf/d.

Approximately 9100 wells have been drilled since 2006.

The Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR) has increased from about 2 Bcf/well in 2010 to almost 16 Bcf/well by 2022.
