In 2025, the project entered a new phase of visible execution. The first pipeline segments were installed, marking a tangible shift from paper approvals to real infrastructure. The BC government committed CA$145 million to electrification lines and substations, cementing Cedar’s low-carbon credentials. At the same time, work started on the Cedar Link Connector and compressor stations, ensuring feed gas delivery. This progression shows Cedar LNG’s transformation from a proposal (2022), to FID (2024), and now in 2025, to active construction backed by major government funding – a clear signal of momentum toward its planned late-2028 start-up.
